1913 Picatinny Adapter - B&T APC

With the purchase of this adapter and the side fold brace this tool that was already quite enjoyable to use is now near perfection. It's extremely stable and comfortable to use.

This was an easy replacement for the folding adapter that come on my APC9. I purchased this with one of their folding stocks. I like this one better than other APC picitinny adapters I’ve seen. This one is thinner and doesn’t add much more to the length of the fire arm.

Semper Fidelis

I just received the 1913 Picatinny adapter - B&T APC. When I cleaned it before installing, my hands turned purple. Upon closer inspection, it's obvious someone drew on this with a sharpie marker to cover up blemishes, which is absolutely ridiculous. There's a noticeable gouge on the top and deep scratches where the bolt spring makes contact, this is where the sharpie ink was located that rubbed off onto my hands

Additionally, the included roll pin is too small to adequately mount the hydraulic buffer. . . it just falls through the hole

Lastly, it doesn't even fit into the frame of the gun without exerting an excessive amount of force, and even then, there's noticeable slop. It's obviously out of spec and totally not salvageable.

Normally I'm patient about mistakes, but the fact I had to scrub marker ink off my hands pisses me off. I'll be seeking a complete refund.

Works just as intended

I wanted to like this so much. I was super excited to put this on. I opened the package, removed the hydraulic buffer from the factory B&T end cap, went to put it in this one and the pin fell all the way through the hole. Upon further inspection, the hole is meant to use a Ø. 125" spring pin. The problem is that the factory pin that comes in the B&T is Ø3mm. The bigger problem is that they don't tell you and don't supply one with the end cap. I tried calling during business hours and nobody answered. A3's voicemail is full so I couldn't even leave a message. A quick trip to Ace Hardware for a $. 72 pin and I was all good to go. Installed it, put the stock on, brought it up to my shoulder and felt it wiggle. The lugs on the end cap that engage the mating slots on the B&T upper are undersize. Measured them with calipers compared to the factory endcap and they are about . 007" under. Doesn't sound like much, but is quite noticeable when holding the gun. Skip this one and buy the factory B&T part for an extra $61.

Fit and finish is great. No tooling marks and looks even better on my APC9.

The space for the buffer was about .020” small and I used a Dremel to enlarge the hole. Unlike the B&T version, the buffer is held by 2 very small screws that dig directly into the buffer groove. I’ve already had the buffer slip out after about 30 rounds. I tightened the the screws even more and the buffer still could be rotated after ~50 rounds. Now the screws are almost stripped. As a final kick in the balls, the piece is sloppy in my apc9 pro. I’m a machinist by trade and I’ve never seen such horrible quality control. whoever programmed/machined/inspected this part should be fired.
