Product Description
The HDA3 is a modular stock and brace system developed through a collaboration between Haga Defense and A3 Industries. Designed to integrate cleanly across a wide range of firearm platforms, the HDA3 delivers strength, adjustability, and durability in a familiar, low-profile package.
This direct-fit configuration mounts securely to the factory interface of the Springfield Kuna. The HDA3 is designed, manufactured, and assembled in the USA.
Features
Heavy-Duty Folding Hinge
The HDA3 uses a nitride-coated 17-4 stainless steel hinge for a strong, consistent lockup in both the folded and deployed positions. The standard configuration folds to the left at a 3.5-degree cant. Right-folding configurations are planned for a future release.
Hybrid Construction
Metal internal components provide strength where it matters most. The aluminum cheek-riser button and length-adjustment latch interface with a 6061 aluminum extrusion that connects directly to the steel hinge. Exterior components are injection-molded from 30% glass-fiber-reinforced nylon for a durable, lightweight shell.
Stock and Brace Configurations
The stock configuration includes an injection-molded extension with a textured Santoprene TPE buttpad. The brace configuration includes an injection-molded extension designed to accept compatible arm braces.
Tool-Free Adjustment
The HDA3 offers seven length positions in 0.50-inch increments. The cheek riser can be set to three heights: flush, +0.25 inch, or +0.50 inch. Both adjustments can be operated easily with one hand.
Multiple Sling-Mounting Options
The rear of the HDA3 includes an integrated sling loop and two steel QD sockets. Three additional QD mounting points are machined into the aluminum firearm adapter.

So sturdy, it upgrades the gun to what it was intended to be, a must have
I wish I could give this brace 5 stars, but it has two points I feel that need to be addressed first.
Number one the locking mechanism while robust and solid feeling when locked, is an absolute pain to unlock or fold the brace. I've got XL hands and I cannot fold this brace without using both hands and pulling and pushing on the weapon in opposite directions. I think this maybe specific to the kuna model and not something across the A3 line. With the built in adapter you just cannot get a good grasp and enough leverage to easily manipulate it one handed like other mechanisms.
Next, the cheek riser has almost the opposite issue. The spring loaded mechanism that controls the amount of rise is so weak I accidently drop the riser to the lowest position when manipulating the weapon or trying to wrangle the brace closed.
Other than that, it's actually pretty sweet! It looks the part, it does not feel cheap, once opened and locked into place it's very solid. I just feel two minor tweaks and it'd be the best thing out there for the kuna.
I will have to echo what everyone else have said. The mechanism to fold it is really very difficult to operate. Sometimes it seems like it's doable and other times you have to really fight it. But besides that, the honest truth is that it's still probably the best brace attachment you can put on a Springfield Kuna at the moment.
The brake locking device is ridiculously difficult, which makes it almost impossible to fold. Mfg needs to correct. Aside from this 'serious' issue the brake is good.
