Sure-Lok 1913 Folding Hinge

I saw this locking mechanism come out and immediately was interested in upgrading. A3I's Apex hinge is fine, if not a big finicky, but this one is much better. While it doesn't feel 100% rock solid, the amount of play in the locked mechanism is small enough to be of no concern (it also seems like less play than the Apex hinge).

My only complaint is that these are priced a bit high; basically, I'd highly recommend this product if you already own A3I stock/brace arms and this $100 isn't a big deal for you. If you have a Sig-compatible brace/stock or your hinge isnt broken on your A3I brace/stock arm. . . you may want to consider getting a new Sig folder or just touching it out with the Apex hinge.

Put it on my Springfield kuna with the para-brace and it is a huge upgrade. Feels really stable and folds easily. Can’t recommend this enough.

I recently put on the Sure-Lok hinge on a MAC5K pistol brace. Locked brace is so much better and easier to use. Excellent construction and materials. I have also have A3 brace on a Stribog. It is also 100% nicely done

The Sure-Lok 1913 Folding Hinge has every feature a shooter wants. It uses strong mechanical indexing to stay open, options for the mounting screws to move up or down by half a rail, all-steel construction that won't wear out, easy push-button for closing (great for my wife), smaller footprint unlike other hinges that require upward/downward pressure to unlock.

There is absolutely no reason to get any other 1913 hinge. I purchased a spare one before people catch on and these sell out. Everyone will eventually use these.

Looks and works great

The standard hinge,in my opinion wasa good hinge already and did everything I wanted it to do. But then I saw that A3 had a locking hinge that only folded one way. This hinge is awesome, and fantastic. I had been a fan of the "Strike Ind" stuff, but after having one of their dual folding braces, how fidly it was to install and how it felt after just a couple of people "made " it fold without pushing button , made it weak. So weak in fact it could not stay folded when held sideways, it would just flop to the 90 degree position. NO longer a problem because the A3 stays folded when held sideways, simply and easily deploys. When deployed it is locked into position solidly and the button MUST be pushed to fold no more being able to force closure. The standard A3 was great even though it did not"lock" in either position spring tension is enough to keep solidly in selected position. The new locking hinge is so solid with no play, and easy to install. It is so solid in fact that you could possibly use it as a bludgeon if the situation deemed necessary. This thing is going nowhere until asked to do so. This piece is also beautifully machined and finished very nice. A nice addition that blends very well with a nice host.

Major improvement over the previous folding hinge. Easy to manipulate, strong lockup. Unlike the previous hinge, this can be oriented as a left or right hand fold without any impact to usability.
