The TRIAD CQC buttplate is an optional low-profile buttplate upgrade designed for optimal manueverability and handling on SBR configurations. This compact one-piece buttplate/buttpad replaces the original full-sized buttplate, lower buttplate gusset, and buttpad. The CQC buttplate is an integrated all-aluminum design with an angled base, optimized for easier shouldering in close quarters. With a shorter overall height and slim profile, the buttplate packages smaller, ideal for backpack configurations and/or storage.
The unique integrated design is machined from one piece of aluminum, eliminating the lower polymer gusset, and uses a new injection-molded rubber buttpad with high-grip treaded pattern and the familiar A3 logo.
I know for legality sake this cannot be the default butt plate included in the triad kit. That being said it fixes all the issues I have with the stock butt plate. It has a metal reinforcement in the rubber to stiffen up the pad once attached and the lower angled bevel helps minimize snag points on the bottom of the rifle. If you are setting up your triad for a 26" ovl or sbr then do yourself a favor and get this.
