These Picatinny-mounted (1913) A3 Industries Modular Braces allow you to design and build the brace that best suits your needs. As long as you already have a Picatinny (1913) mount on the rear of your firearm with at least 3 slots, these braces will mount to it.

HOW TO ORDER:

1 - Determine straight extension or offset extension: Straight extensions usually position the top of your brace close to bore centerline, on most firearms. This works fine for most but does not give you the height adjustability that the offset extensions provide. Offset extensions allow the user to position the offset in 4 different positions to accommodate various needs such as:

avoiding obstacles like selector controls, bolt release levers, ejection ports, etc. when folded.
adjusting cheek height to match optics
positioning the brace at different heights for comfort

2 - Determine length: As a general rule of thumb, most applications utilize the 7.75" or 8.25". Some firearms with long receivers may require the shorter extensions. It is up to the user to determine length and measurements but here are some guidelines to help get you the best option. The extension length is the actual length of the extension itself. It does not factor in the thickness of the hinge or the brace. Our hinge adds 7/16" (.4375") and the Steady-Brace or Tailhook adds 5/8" (.625"). So add 1.0625" (1-1/16") to your extension length to get overall brace length.

3 - Choose a brace: The Steady-brace is our brand of brace and offered in high-strength injection-molded Polymer, or 6061 machined aluminum. The polymer Steady-brace is a hook style minimalist brace that provides the lightest weight and smallest dimensions. The Aluminum Steady-brace is slightly larger and will mount to any buffer tube style mount, just like the popular Tailhook brace. Both Steady-braces ship with a Velcro forearm strap which is optional for use (based on current rulings). Steady-braces work equally well on pistol caliber sub-guns as well as rifle caliber pistols. They are lightweight and durable, and a great choice for any folder. You also have the option to outfit our folder with a tailhook adapter that allows the use of Gearhead Works Tailhooks. 4- Select a firearm adapter(optional): The Modular folding brace mounts directly to a MIL-SPEC 1913 picatinny rail. If your firearm does not come equipped with a 1913 rail, you can select the firearm specific adapter from the list above.

HOW TO DETERMINE LENGTH-OF-PULL:

When calculating Length-of-Pull (LOP) with our Modular brace please use the following guidelines:

Take a measurement from the face of your trigger to the rear of the Picatinny rail on the back of the firearm.
Add 1-1/16" to this number to account for the hinge and brace.
Add the extension length chosen for your brace.

The combination of these 3 numbers is your LOP.

APEX Leverage hinge: This is a HD steel hinge that uses a tensioned release to fold. Similar to most tensioned hinges, the user lifts the stock/brace to release the latch and fold. In the folded position the hinge has a tensioned detent that holds it folded. The user can simply pull the brace for quick deployment.
BRACE END: There are 3 different brace ends available - Polymer Steady-brace, Aluminum Steady-brace, or an adapter that allows the use of a Gearheads Tailhook adapter (Sold separately). The Polymer brace is injection-molded from 30% fiber reinforced Zytel polymer. It is the most compact and lightest option, and mounts directly to the extension. The Aluminum Steady-brace comes with a round adapter and clamps on, just like a Tailhook brace. The Tailhook adapter converts our extension to run the popular Tailhook. Tailhooks are not included, but can be purchased HERE.
EXTENSION ARMS: Our extension arms are available in both straight or offset configurations. Straight extensions simply extend rearward, positioning the brace end in line with the hinge point. Offset extensions offset one end 1.25" from center. Each end is symmetrical, allowing the user to mount it in 4 different positions as shown to the right. These offsets can be used to clear objects such as an ejection port or charging handle, raise/lower a cheek weld for different height optics, or position the brace end higher or lower to suit your shooting preference.
All extension arms incorporate M-LOK slots along the full length of the arm. This allows the user to mount our VIS STEEL QD (Quick-disconnect) sling mount anywhere on the extension.
CHEEK RESTS: The Xeno Modular Cheek Rest has three heights - 5/8", 7/8", or 1-1/8". The XENO mounts via M-LOK and also has an offset that allows the cheek rest to be positioned 1" offset of the mount, if necessary. The XENO is machined from aluminum with injection-molded Polymer spacers and cheek rest.
